Performed military based mechanical design and integration engineering tasks for an aerospace company in a self-motivated environment. Project duties have included working with three-dimensional software (CATIA, Solid Works, AutoCAD) designing various aircraft components such as avionics racks and other equipment mounting fixtures; interior and exterior. Managed modifications and design work that directly impacted the success of Army, Air Force, and industry programs. Worked as Lead Design Engineer for the multimillion dollar ATIRCM (Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasure) installation on CH-47 D/F aircrafts. Spearheaded computer based designs and assisted with hands on work with certified aircraft technicians during modifications of a Sikorsky S92 Helicopter, Blue Force Tracker Installation on a C-130 J aircraft and surveys of various other aircraft. Documented technical design work to be presented at Preliminary and Critical design reviews and actively participated in Design and Drawing Reviews. Documented and maintained Weight and Balance Reports to be included in final data packages. Worked with government and military performance specifications, federal aviation regulations, and commercial standards. Materials worked with mostly consisted of aluminum extrusions and sheet metal and on occasion aluminum honeycomb panels. Work performed on program modifications directly impacted the war fighters' safety and improvements to force equipment modernization.Design

Performed product development duties within an engineering design firm supporting different types of projects and proposals. Projects include extensive Pro/E usage for the modeling and drafting of various parts and assemblies such as different types of lube filters, centrifuge oil filters, and water gas separators used in various automotive applications commercial and domestic and various consumer products such as some work in refrigeration, automatic animal feeders, a product that aids in trailer hitch connections, and an infant hygiene product. Developed products using a wide range of materials such as plastics, metals, rubber, and alloys. Worked with different manufacturing process such as die-casting, injection and permanent molds, stamping, and some sheet metal parts. Some projects were modifications of existing parts, some are the creation of new products using limited guidelines, and some are 2D to 3D conversions. Self-motivated team player; all work was completed with little or no supervision. Corresponded with coworkers for input with current projects; conducted and actively participated in design reviews or brainstorming sessions when there is a need to come up with multiple concepts. Direct correspondence with the customers, project engineers, and in some cases vendors and suppliers receiving engineering support was a must. This correspondence included but was not limited to discussions of material selection, design instructions, and strict deadlines that often range from a few days to a few weeks. Mastered and utilize Microsoft Excel for various types of analysis (statistical, force, some stress, and advanced tolerance stack ups) and basic office duties, Power point for presentation materials, as well as Outlook and Microsoft Word on a daily basis.
