After my work with Job Coconut, Careertrotter approached me to work part-time for them because of my studies. In my 3 months with Careertrotter I had to run through their website and complete an audit in terms of Keywords and online content. I had carried out extensive keyword research based on search terms used by the target market, Google Webmaster and the keywords that the company wanted to found for. As this is an international company research did take some time but we found the key search terms that Careertrotter could compete with and started on a content campaign that would help us get to where we wanted to be. Throughout my time here I had access to Google Analytics to monitor the campaigns progress and sent recommendations for Social media updates. As it was just for 3 months I did not get to follow up on the campaigns progress but I was assured that my plan would follow on and that once graduated there could be a full time position for me here as Marketing Manager

As part of my studies I was to complete a Digital Marketing Internship. Job Coconut gave me the opportunity to jump in and give it my all. As they were only a year old when I arrived there was certainly plenty to do so I was put in at the deep end straight away. My time at Job Coconut was well spent as I received hands on experience with several Digital Marketing aspects and tools. I was given full responsibility of dealing with Social Media and PR - where I would post official company updates and deal with online groups and communities on a daily basis. As part of my target, there needed to be 2 new blogs each week in order to drive interest. This is a task that I found truly challenging and loved it - this involved running a number competitor analysis, keyword research with Google Adwords and general market research on what exactly Job Coconut's Target Market was interested in reading. Being told I had a flair for writing, I was put in charge of email marketing and website management too. With this I was then able to carry out a full website audit to run through and make sure that Job Coconut was indeed SEO friendly. On top of this I had plenty of exposure to Google Analytics and Google Webmaster - Closely monitoring this New site and trying to get the best out of a number of channels to drive traffic back.
