Received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from North Carolina State University. I then went on to receive my Masters of Art in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management from North Carolina State University. I am a graduate of North Carolina Central University School of Law, where I received a diverse exposure to various venues of the legal system through my internships with the Wake County District Attorney's Office, the North Carolina Attorney General's Office and the North Carolina Court of Appeals. While in law school, I was selected as a Senior Editor for the North Carolina Central Law Journal as well as winning a spot on the Moot Court Team. In my participation on the Moot Court Team, I was awarded recognition in the National Organization for Women's (NOW) 5th Annual Sojourner Truth Moot Court Competition for being a semi-finalist. The competition featured contestants from law schools throughout the United States. I also served as Secretary of the Student Bar Association. Prior to entering my legal career I was employed at North Carolina State University and with the Town of Cary. Before opening my own practice, I was an associate at a local law firm. Member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association, the Tenth Judicial District and the Wake County Academy of Trial Lawyers.Specialties: Real Estate, Traffic, Criminal Law and Family Law.
