Responsible for evaluating relevant industry trends and the competitive environment for retail mutual funds, while assessing the impact to clients, the investment proposition, and impact to the business unit. Planned, executed and monitored project management logistics and communications for mutual fund closures and mergers that resulted in savings of $200k per year for Russell Investments. Synthesized data to drive to fact-based insights, identify strategic implications, and to develop compelling business recommendations for the business unit. This resulted in improving expense ratios for a fund series by 10 basis points on average, and improved performance for 4 of the 5 Funds – relative to their prior asset allocation.Managed the restructuring of the Russell Separate Accounts, that included documenting requirements, project scheduling, contract negotiations, and client relationship skills that resulted in savings of $100k a year and retaining the largest client in the productProject lead for the business unit, to adopt the Russell Global Indexes. Led documentation of business, technology and legal requirements, and executed project deliverables with stakeholders. Product closures resulted in annual savings of $4 million dollars to the firm. Created schedules, executed defined tasks, developed reporting packages, and reported project status and issues to the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Investment Committee. Accountable for managing Russell’s global product governance process. Responsibilities included management of Product Review Committee meetings and communicating updates with key stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Reviewed business cases for new products and provided feedback and recommendations to C-level executives for their decision making.Evolved the product development and management framework to include best practices such as incorporating risk management into the process and reporting a global view of product activity.

Accountable for FundSite, a technology product used globally by Russell Investments for publishing marketing materials and to the web. Responsible for its entire lifecycle from enhancements, ongoing maintenance, and putting forth the strategic direction of this global product. Developed a three year strategic vision for FundSite with stakeholders across the globe to meet their business objectives in addition to creating the Roadmap to achieve this vision. Authored and presented business funding request to Russell IT Working Group and was approved for $1.3 million for the platform.Implemented best-practice lifecycle processes for FundSite. This included documenting requirements for developers, writing and presenting funding requests, managing development work, detailed test plans, creating and managing metrics, and communication/training around new enhancements.Recipient of two Russell Team Excellence Awards for FundSite.
