I have worked in a Ground Ambulance unit for a Combat Support Hospital with a specific mission focused on MASCAL, emergency medical treatment, triage and HAZMAT reaction and preparedness. I have extensive leadership experience as a squad leader managing seven Soldiers under me and at times up to sixty Soldiers. I served as the Medical Supply NCOIC and managed over $25 thousand dollars worth of equipment, while also training numerous Soldiers and civilians in Combat Life-support (CLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Neucleare and Explosives (CBRNE).Through my experience as a medic in the U.S. Army I have found that my professional work ethic is based on loyalty to the mission of patient care, mutual respect and integrity. I have gained strengths in critical thinking and decision making skills, the resiliency needed to work with high stress situations and improvement of my attention to detail with situational awareness.I am levelheaded and always receptive to professional criticism to improve on weaknesses for future growth. I'm firm in my choices made, however, I am open minded for solutions that can improve the completion or flow of tasks at hand, while also not being afraid to take a step back and allowing someone else to take lead when the situation fits.
