I have earned two Masters degrees, one in Marine Science and Climate Change at the University of Gibraltar and one in Sustainable Environmental Management at the University of Saskatchewan. My research and interests lay in the scaling-up of human dimensions in Marine Protected Areas (MPAs). For my thesis I proposed a framework that can be used to evaluate the socio-economic aspects of MPAs, which is currently unique in the literature, to help increase an MPA's potential in reaching its long-term goals. My areas of interest are interconnected- the health and well-being of human communities as well as the health of our ecosystems and wildlife/marine life. I have a background in Health Studies and Psychology so I am passionate about bridging environmental and social science together in my career.
