Originally from Clay Center, Kansas, I grew up in production agriculture. From a young age, my parents instilled in me the value of hard work and thus helped shape the work ethic I have today. My upbringing through my extracurriculars also showed me that I have a passion for teaching people. Rather it is giving a presentation to an audience so they can learn about something they don't yet have knowledge of or educating people on a new subject matter, I've always enjoyed helping other people think outside of the box. When I came to Kansas State University for my undergraduate degree, I wanted to pursue my agricultural interests. Thus, I decided on agricultural economics which set me up for my first career - helping clients with their public relations and marketing efforts. However, shortly after I started that role I realized this wasn't my true passion in life. I wasn't educating people. Therefore, I decided to come back to my roots at Kansas State University to pursue my Master's in Business Administration so I could teach or train people. I could then capitalize on my passion while learning applicable information I could use in my future career path. Currently, I'm an Instructor for the College of Business at Kansas State University, primarily teaching sales classes. I focus on sales technology and the fundamentals of sales, developing the sales process with students. Working with students is one of my main passions, and the area I love most about my role as I am constantly challenging students to think outside the box while educating them.
