Planned, and upon approval, executed Phase 1 of the $350MM multi-year Greater Edson drilling program comprising 70 hydraulically fractured horizontal gas wells, across 5 Formations in the deep basin. Produced geomodels by Formation for mapping, lateral geosteering and optimization, engineering outputs and reserve and resource calculations. • Drilled and geosteered Repsol’s longest deep basin gas well at 6.5km length/3.5km lateral while remaining 100% in reservoir.• Built and ran an innovative Petrel workflow which immediately extracts geostatistics along any horizontal well or inventory stick from any map or model, outputting data for thousands of wells at once saving days of work for each run.• Recognized and awarded for early communication and functioning during drilling start-up while supporting the drilling and operations teams which resulted in a clean and quick start to the drilling program.• Nominated to be the Geologic Responsible Member for APEGA at Repsol Canada, increasing quality assurance of the products coming from geology through technical reviews.• Quickly evaluated the Leduc Formation as a waste disposal candidate using carbonate expertise and wrote the regulatory application in record time to reduce surface bottlenecks and to keep the Greater Edson wells producing.• Through precise re-mapping of the Wilrich Formation and integration of additional datasets with the reservoir engineer, an increase in productive reservoir was realized and drilling plans were adjusted accordingly to capture maximum resource.

Sole geologist for the Chauvin Field of 1,500 commingled heavy oil injector and producer wells under waterflood, bottom water drive clastic wells and water-gas drive carbonates. A key member of the integrated multi-disciplinary subsurface team responsible for all geological activity: static modeling, facies, geostatistics, uncertainty, risk analysis, volumetrics, petrophysics, engineering outputs, mapping, development and well planning, optimization, conversions, abandonments, disposal wells, land, acquisitions and divestitures.• Constructed the first full-field static model in Chauvin, centralizing and normalizing all data thereby removing redundancy in work and having the first consolidated view to understanding all zones and their commingled interactions. • Built the static mega-model for the Chauvin Field to include 2,100 wells over an area of 550 km2 and 11 vertically stacked zones as the base for all subsequent work saving time for other disciplines and outputting 2 models for dynamic simulation, 6 Sahara models, multi-lateral well planning, prepping 8 well pads and quickly producing and updating reserve and resources.• Created the first SharePoint site with MS Teams interface and taxonomy structure for the subsurface group which was imperative for team functioning.• Reduced workload for the reservoir engineers through highly skilled workflow creation and building porosity-permeability relationships, capillary pressure curves, RQI and initial saturation workflows within Petrel, allowing for quick calculation run times and the tuning of complex data sets.• Pre-emptively reviewed Repsol’s upcoming land expirations in the Chauvin and Saskatchewan areas to submit advanced ruling documents for the regulator in order to successfully hold on to all land expirations. • Awarded for the leadership taken in coordinating and aligning the cross functional team members who were providing inputs for the static and dynamic modeling processes.

Reservoir management and expansion of the Orion SAGD oilsands field in conjunction with production and surveillance team members. Constructed static models to incorporate observation well data, cased hole logging, temperature data and 4D seismic interpretation to determine steam chamber growth and conformance for resource understanding, optimization, infill drilling, resource assessments and regulatory presentations. Produced depositional and facies models along with delineation well drilling for new pad planning. Performed analogue studies for production forecasts.• Increased Orion Field Oil Sands production through strategic recompletions and innovative drilling options from pre-existing surface pads in order to face the ongoing challenges in difficult market conditions.• Sole geologist responsible for Orion which included 3D model build; maximized production results through the addition of production, completions, drilling and reservoir data. This new approach to incorporating all subsurface and field data yielded powerful results for all disciplines and allowed for quicker decision making and remediation. As well, it identified potential serious field issues which were able to be mitigated prior to any impact.• Demonstrated to management, auditors and external stakeholders that through extensive in-depth analog studies, production forecasts for Orion could be improved with the result of increasing the company’s overall value.

Carbonate oilsands geologist, exploiting the highly fractured and dolomitized Grosmont Formation with a SAGD pilot and development through appraisal well drilling and special studies.• Built a 3D static model for the first carbonate Saleski SAGD pilot which led the company to becoming an industry leader in thermal carbonate oil sands technology and expertise; analyzed and interpreted all incoming subsurface data from the pilot within a 3D static model to plan the first commercial carbonate oil sands project.• Created an innovative fracture model for the carbonate oil sands project which led to the capacity to better qualify and quantify the primary and secondary porosity and permeability systems, which were previously unquantifiable.

Preparation of the greenfield asset development plan and regulatory application submission for the commercial 60,000 bpd Taiga oilsands project. SAGD pads and wells planned in stacked reservoirs for concurrent production.• Planned the Taiga Field Oil Sands development by building its first 3D static model and assisted with the commercial 60,000 BPD project which was accepted and approved by the AER.• Proposed a stacked reservoir drilling program to drastically reduce cost by drilling and producing both the Grand Rapids and the Clearwater Formations consecutively, saving millions of dollars and reducing the surface footprint.
