• Provide comprehensive counseling services to a culturally diverse general and student-athlete population, including servicing students with basic needs, basic skills, DSPS, Dreamers, foster-youth and multi-ethnic student populations• Facilitate the recruitment, matriculation and registration of diverse current, dual enrollment and prospective students, informing them of Saddleback College’s degree, certificate, vocational and transfer opportunities• Provide students with academic, personal, career and transfer counseling that stimulates growth in understanding self and others, assisting them to prepare for effective living as productive members of society and the communities they serve• Help students identify personal and educational goals and determine required sequence of related courses to meet goals• Develop comprehensive Student Educational Plans (CSEP) and evaluate external transcripts and AP scores utilizing resources such as ASSIST, TES and university or college websites • Facilitate access and ensure follow-through to vital college resources such as Learning Resource Center, Financial Aid, EOPS, CARE, DSPS and Veterans Resource Center• Utilize and keep current with counseling technology and related on-line resources including, but not limited to MAP, Degree Works, ASSIST, TES, Canvas, ZOOM and other academic and career counseling technologies• Provide counseling services in multiple modalities including face-to-face, ZOOM and hybrid • Advise students on financial assistance such as FAFSA, Saddleback scholarship opportunities and the GI Bill • Develop and maintain course curriculum, syllabus materials and lesson plans for Counseling 100: College Success utilizing online learning platforms such as Canvas• Facilitate enrollment through special projects such as High School Outreach and Dismissal Hold • Participate in both the Student Success Coordinating Committee and Scholarship Review Committee

• Provide academic, personal and career counseling services to our student-athlete population in accordance with NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and CCCAA eligibility and transfer rules • Work closely with the Counseling Department, Athletics Department and Learning Resource Center in order to collaborate effectively across campus to ensure a holistic student-athlete program • Develop and lead special workshops for our student-athlete population to ensure proper and timely registration, knowledge of Athletic Department, CCCAA and NCAA eligibility rules and welcome orientations• Create and maintain PowerPoints and learning materials for the aforementioned special workshops • Currently in the process of developing a sound Student-Athlete program that will support the growth and development of each student-athlete including a summer bootcamp that will teach student-athletes how to register for classes, manage time effectively, access resources across campus, communicate with Instructors, money management and develop a comprehensive Student Educational Plan in accordance with student goals and eligibility rules • Teach student-athletes how to transfer work ethic on the field to the classroom and in their daily lives through intrusive counseling practices • Participate in the Orange Empire Conference program review

• Supported the Athletics Department as the designated Athletics Counselor providing academic planning, major and career counseling, athletics eligibility and student-athlete support and development • Acted as the liaison, establishing and developing close working relationships between the Counseling Division and Athletics Department including the Counseling Division Chair, Counselors, Director of Athletics and Coaching Staff• Led and coordinated ODAR (Out-of-District Athlete Registration) Orientation, Student-Athlete Registration Workshops, and team visits, assisting students with orientation, first semester education plans, class schedules, informing current student-athletes and recruits about Cuesta College campus policies and resources• Attended and presented to Athletics staff during their monthly Athletics Meeting• Developed, coordinated and led weekly Career Counseling workshops in the Transfer and Career Center• Created lesson plans for Counselors to utilize when leading students through the Strong Interest Inventory Assessment • Lead curriculum developer for a career counseling course utilizing CurricUNET• Counseled and supported disproportionally impacted student populations, the vast majority of whom were ethnic minorities and/or persons handicapped by language, social or economic disadvantages, in remedial courses persist to transfer level Math and English within their first year, with the goal of closing equity gaps • Developed and implemented special events such as the Stress Relief and Registration Workshops as well as featured guest presentations in order to support mental health awareness• Led Reinstatement Workshops for students on academic and progress dismissal, Freshmen Orientations, Transfer Application Workshops and classroom presentations regarding campus resources and important upcoming events, dates/deadlines• Pathways, ASSIST, College Source, Banner, Canvas and other academic and career counseling technologies

• Generated 10-30 new members on a monthly basis for an exclusive health club in San Luis Obispo County • Consistently exceeded monthly sales goals by successfully recruiting corporate prospects into new club members, resulting in the continuous expansion and growth of the company • Generated approximately $25,000 in sales every month between new members, existing member renewals and in-club ancillary services • Created and hosted networking public relations events to market the company and increase brand awareness • Engaged with current members regularly, naturally leading to in-club lead-generation• Conducted pre-planning activities in collaboration with my General Manager including strategic outreach • Built long-lasting rapport with current members and fellow colleagues
