With over eight years of experience as a health and wellness coach, I am passionate about helping people achieve their optimal health and well-being. As the interim manager of the Health Coach Training Program and the enrollment advisor for the Practitioner Program at Kresser Institute, I've had the honor of managing the quality and delivery of the coaching curriculum as the program has come to a close, mentor and support the coaches-in-training, and guide prospective students through the enrollment and certification process. Now embarking on a new role in the Department of Health & Human Physiology at the University of Iowa, I have the rewarding opportunity to bring my education, training, experience, and excitement together to support student development and learning, and contribute to the Health Coach Pathway and Community Health Collaborative. I hold the National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) credential and the ADAPT Certified Functional Health Coach certification, which demonstrate my commitment to the highest standards of coaching practice and ethics. I also have a background in counseling, education, and leadership development, with a doctorate in counselor education and supervision and a professor emeritus position at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. My areas of expertise include coaching, mentoring, and supervising, group process and facilitation, program coordination, customer service and support, curriculum and course development, strategic planning, and neuroscience of mindset, habit, and behavior change.
