About Kelly Chen

Heya! I'm Kelly (she/they) and I'm a Data Scientist at Meta. I graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in spring 2022 with a B.S. in Statistics and a B.A. in Sociology. I love data and its potential as a tool for problem solving, collaboration, and delving deeper into human experience. Using tech to deliver clear insights and help others make informed, strategic decisions is my passion. My experiences include conducting public health data analysis on Medi-Cal insights using R, developing JavaScript graphs and data visualizations for a variety of journalistic projects, and providing strategy-driven data analysis on a Democratic congressional campaign. I've worked with a variety of programming languages (R, Python, SQL, JavaScript, C++) and can readily pick up new skills on the fly to achieve any objective. In the past, I've interned at Shopify as a Data Science intern and at Meta as a Data Science, Analytics intern!I love to meet new people and join insightful projects!
