AIDS Free Pittsburgh (AFP) is a public health movement to end the HIV epidemic in Allegheny County by 2030. AIDS Free Pittsburgh is a collaborative initiative comprised of government agencies, healthcare institutions, and community-based organizations that strive to support and improve the care of people living with HIV/AIDS, as well as communities most at-risk for HIV. AIDS Free Pittsburgh does not provide services directly, but rather works to raise awareness and build collaboration among community stakeholders.

• Joined the Board after over a decade of volunteerism and support. Served as a lead on the 2020-2023 Strategic Planning Committee and offering a range of support across development, policy and practice teams. Previous: Volunteer Coordinator 2009-2012• Facilitated new volunteer orientations and scheduling, as well as case management duties and the delivery risk reduction services to clients

• Provided technical assistance to the Department in applying for and subsequently managing federal grant opportunities related to health equity and addressing health disparities• Managed numerous workforce development training initiatives on social determinants of health and social groups most impacted by health disparities• Assisted the Department in advancing health equity related goals in strategic plans including the establishment of an internal working group, the creation of the health equity role position, and served as a point of contact on various regular convenings

• Lead Active Minds’ one year, grant-funded Pittsburgh-wide initiative which includes activating cohorts of student change agents across higher education institutions in Pittsburgh• Piloted a chapter strength and sustainability initiative in partnership with the donors which includes event mini-grants stipends for student leaders, opportunities for staff advisors, and technical assistance. • Managed collaborative efforts with local partner organizations to provide trainings, capacity-building, and programming relating to campaign goals and strategiesActive Minds is the nation’s premier nonprofit organization supporting mental health awareness and education for students. Served the Department of Aging from November 2017 to May 2018, then the Office of Victim Advocate through September 2018. • Managed the Department's policy and regulatory development process in coordination with the Governor's Office of Policy and relevant agency counterparts• Represented the Department and served as point of contact on policy related matters internal and external such as participation in working groups combating the opioid epidemic, addressing homelessness, and improving services and practice standards for LGBTQ populations

• Managed Equality Pennsylvania’s policy initiatives with the Governor’s administration and with various departments of the Pennsylvania executive branch with the goal of ensuring every applicable program is inclusive of LGBTQ Pennsylvanians and their families• Strongly advocated for LGBTQ Pennsylvanians through the ongoing development and implementation of multiple, complimentary work plans and strategies with the help of coalitions made up of partnering agencies and organizations• Produced policy briefs and memos, as well as other resources and materials, on the needs and experiences of LGBTQ Pennsylvanians to educate and effectuate change

Started as a Scholar in Local Government in 2012, then became an Analyst in the Office of Data Analysis, Research and Evaluation after completion of fellowship, then moved to the Executive Office to serve as the Policy Coordinator. • Led an innovative and technological effort to move policy development and approval process to an electronic storage system complete with application-based workflow processes • Participated in several initiatives aimed at better integrating service programs and administrative structure across offices• Coordinated the DHS Scholars and Fellows in Local Government programs as well as the DHS Inclusion Workgroup
