Kelly is both an accomplished business lawyer and a strategic business partner who understands the real-life challenges that business owners face on a daily basis. She prides herself on taking practical, solution-oriented approaches, and she is a trusted adviser at both the board and management team level.After graduating as Salutatorian from her law school class, Kelly joined the corporate section of a prestigious international law firm where she helped clients ranging from start-up entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies with all matters related to owning and operating a business. She left the law firm after 4 years to lead legal operations for a private equity company and family office called B-29 Investments. In her role at B-29 Investments, she also served as General Counsel for a number of their operating portfolio companies in industries including energy, real estate, technology, and professional services. She also led a number of the firm's real estate initiatives from a business perspective with respect to evaluating new investments and development of existing holdings. After spending nearly 8 years with B-29, Kelly accepted a position to lead the legal operations for The CAR Group, which is a family-owned collection of high volume, award-winning retail automotive franchises operating under the "Norm Reeves" brand. In her role, she also supports the family ownership group with its family office functions, including sourcing, evaluating, and executing upon outside investment opportunities.Kelly has always had an entrepreneurial spirit which has allowed her to thrive in entrepreneurial environments. In 2022, she channeled her entrepreneurialism into the formation of Dotted Lines Co., LLC with her co-founder and long-time best friend, Kristin Santamaria. Dotted Lines was formed to help entrepreneurs get affordable, trustworthy, and professional legal education and industry-specific contract templates in place so that they can have peace of mind and scale their business without fear holding them back.
