Directed all operations of public charity that administers corporate philanthropy and community relations functions focused on community development, affordable housing, military veterans and volunteerism. Reported to the Board of Directors and led discussions related to strategic goals, programming, operations, and P&L. Created nationally-recognized grant programs to distribute $50 million annually, including design of guidelines and processes, negotiation of national relationships, alignment of projects undertaken by volunteers and creation of social media campaigns. Managed public charity that provides short-term financial assistance to The Home Depot associates encountering hardships due to unavoidable emergency circumstances. Reported to Board of Trustees to set strategic direction, assess impact and develop grant programs to meet evolving needs of associates. Developed and monitored program and organizational budgets of approximately $18.0 million annually and managed over $25.0 million in long-term investments. Managed one direct report with a staff of eight.• Grew organization from newly-created charity with 3,000 donors awarding $4.0 million annually to cultural cornerstone distributing $15 million to 12,000 associates annually showing how corporation lives its values of “Taking Care of People” and “Giving Back.”• Brought financial stability by developing and executing annual fundraising campaign, which resulted in donations of $13.2 million from over 260,000 associates, or 84% of eligible donors, in 2013.• Created and oversaw program awarding over $2.3 million annually in scholarships for higher education to 1,000 children of associates in United States, Canada and Mexico.• Transitioned all grant application documents, fundraising materials and donation registrations from paper to online, which enhanced accuracy and security and eliminated need for temporary labor.
