My experience as a bookkeeper spans twenty plus years in three industries. My current job has allowed me to expand my job duties beyond basic bookkeeping of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll into the field of budgeting and financial reporting. Some of my accomplishments include an asset management procedure, streamlining the chart of accounts for more cohesive and detailed financial statements, and implementing accounting procedures for self-insured health insurance. My job duties at my current position have been challenging and rewarding. This feeling that I could do more and learn more led me back to school with my goal of a bachelors’ degree. I expect to graduate in August of 2022 from Purdue Global University and have found the experience of returning to school to be one of immense satisfaction.
