We leverage our expertise along with various technologies to provide effective solutions for the government and commercial sectors across a broad range of industries.

Independent postdoctoral research fellow working on observational data analysis studies of active galaxies, reverberation mapping, broad line region emission lines, cosmology and cosmic distances, galaxy evolution. Thus far, my work during this fellowship has resulted in more than a dozen refereed journal publications, including two first-author publications. My fellowship work also includes an education and public outreach component in which I utilize my scientific expertise and communication skills to bring access to small telescopes and present fun, interactive, inquiry-based astronomy, physics, and even biology lessons to the public and scouting and school groups of varied ages.I use my BA in Astronomy & Physics from Boston University, PhD from Ohio State, and 5+ years of independent postdoctoral research in the US and abroad to better understand the active growth phase of the supermassive black holes that live in the center of distant galaxies. My research works understand the role these systems play in the evolution of galaxies over cosmic time. This research process consists of the following: (1) posing a question and hypothesis to study some unknown aspect of these growing black holes, (2) developing and submitting an observing program that must compete for the limited time available from observatories all over the world, so to obtain data as evidence to support my hypothesis, (3) processing and analyzing the data, by writing scripts and codes to perform such analyses, (4) evaluating the data in a physical context and quantifying my results in the context of my hypothesis, (5) reporting findings through refereed journal publications, conference presentations and written proceedings, and sometimes public talks.

Marie Curie Fellow where I worked on observational studies to understand the structure and demographics of quasars by measuring their black hole masses with reverberation mapping techniques and methods based thereon. My Dark+Marie Curie Fellowship work resulted in 9 refereed journal publications, including one first-author and one single-author publication.

Executed and managed the operation of a large scale observing program based at the 1.3-meter telescope at the MDM Observatory in Tucson, but including a team of international astronomers taking data from telescopes all over the world. I then analyzed and published the results of this program whose successful end goal was measuring the masses of black holes inside several distant galaxies.

Designed and implemented inquiry-based science curriculum for elementary school children at a Columbus, OH public school.
