I was honored to join the Greater Port Jefferson Northern Brookhaven Arts Council and to lead the programming as part of the talented team of volunteers for the long-running Port Jefferson Documentary Series. We bring high-quality documentaries to an area with few theatrical options for documentaries and other independent films. Stay tuned for updates and program announcements!

The Global Peace Film Festival, established in 2003, uses the power of the motion picture to further the cause of peace on earth. In addition to an annual festival in Orlando, Florida, which has grown fifteen-fold since its debut, the GPFF has created educational programs for colleges and high schools; provided fiscal sponsorship for select projects; and incubated impact and outreach campaigns for documentary filmmakers. Academic partnerships in Florida include the University of Central Florida, Full Sail University, Rollins College, Valencia College and the Orange County Public School system. Collaborative partners include local and international groups such as Amnesty International, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Interfaith Council of Central Florida, the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center and many more. GPFF has worked with distributors including HBO, First Run Features, Film Movement, Ruth Films (Israel), Heymann Brothers Films (Israel) and many more. Impact and outreach campaigns have included hosting a John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Grant for the Map Your World platform developed through the film, The Revolutionary Optimists, and supporting the bridge funding for the solar power business in north Jordan for the subject of the film, Rafea: Solar Mama.-Artistic Director and Program Development for the festival held each September in Orlando, Florida, USA and the New York events.

I am consulted with Film Buff, the consumer-facing brand for Cinetic Rights Management, which provides high-quality content across all distribution platforms. I worked to analyze and refine the strategy for maximizing brand awareness, revenue and placement for FilmBuff titles with regard to international sales to broadcast, cable and satellite providers.

During the busy period when the feature doc, BULLY was in theatres, I worked on the accompanying non-profit effort, The BULLY Project, which brought a record number of students to theatres with teachers who had received special training to combat bullying. I managed administrative tasks, established workflows and oversaw accounts. I also worked on drafts and edited foundation grant applications along with the follow-through for payments and outflows related to executing the screenings and training.

Greater New York City Area

Serving over 200 content partners with over 2000 titles, the TFI Reframe Collection is an innovative program to support the distribution of independent media to wider audiences. Reframe's curated site (www.tribecafilminstitute.org/reframe) provides a hub for institutional buyers such as professors, researchers, librarians and corporate groups as well as film buffs where they can discover, recommend and purchase media. Reframe's first non-exclusive retail partnership is with CreateSpace/Amazon.com providing favorable royalty returns with no inventory costs or fees.-Identity and license content from distributors, public media organizations, producers and self-distributing filmmakers for TFI's Reframe Collection project to support greater audience exposure for independent media.-Identify strategic partnerships with other media outlets to provide more platforms for the sale and distribution of independent media.

Reviewed projects from mid-career artists, filmmakers, media provocateurs, documentarians and others for grant consideration by the Creative Capital Foundation as well as participating in the Creative Capital retreat in 2008.

As a former member of the acquisitions team for the Independent Film Channel (IFC), she brought films to IFC from filmmakers such as Craig Brewer, Jay Rosenblatt, Nicole Kassel and Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden. She negotiated the copyright purchase for Lou Pepe and Keith Fulton’s critically acclaimed documentary Lost in LaMancha at the rough-cut stage, along with the copyright purchase of the acclaimed documentary Brother’s Keeper, among others. She scouted Go Tigers! for IFC Films and licensed No Maps for these Territories chosen by Netflix as featured titles to showcase their commitment to being the source for quality documentaries. Instrumental in negotiating deals with ThinkFilm, First Run Features and other noted distributors of documentaries such as Born into Brothels and The Trials of Henry Kissenger.
