I am a goal oriented Physical therapist specializing in treatment of orthopedic/sports related injuries with an interest in running mechanics, pelvic floor/women's health and the lower extremity amputee. I have completed training In and am certified in Dry Needling techniques through Myopain Seminars (completed in January, 2015). I was awarded a certificate in manual therapy through the Manual Therapy Institute Residency Program in 2006. Have completed Level 2 Certification as a Fascial Stretch Therapist was obtained in 2006 through the Fascial Stretch Institute in Tempe, AZ with Ann and Chris Frederick (formerly called Stretch to Win) I have taken other numerous continuing education courses in women's health, pregnancy, running mechanics, and several other courses through the Institute of Physical Art (FO 1 and 2, PNF, and LPI), completed Herman and Wallace level 1, 2A and 2B pelvic floor training as well as coursework in treating coccydynia and the pregnant/postpartum client. Professional goals include pursuing continuing education in women's health through the Herman and Wallace Institute and further education in functional manual therapy techniques through coursework taken from the Institute of Physical Art. Incorporating Pilates techniques and bridging that with traditional physical therapy is also an interest of mine. I would like to bring the areas of women’s pelvic floor therapies, orthopedic manual therapy and core strengthening together in treatment strategies for my female clients. I am also interested in pursuring further education in running biomechanics as well as bike fitting and treating the triathlete to better assist those athletes achieve their goals
