Kelly Ebers is a Production Financing/Business Affairs specialist with over 15 years of experience in the film & television industry ranging from the film festival world and live event production to indie film, factual, documentary and television production.After completing her Bachelor of Radio and Television Arts at Toronto Metropolitan University, Kelly has worked as an independent filmmaker making her own documentaries telling narratives that are important to her and her community. She has remained active in the business by assisting the Whistler Film Festival, the BlackCreek Summer Music Festival and independent production companies like Tiberius Entertainment and Markham Street Films telling meaningful Canadian stories and perspectives. She has also joined forces with studios like Cineflix and Entertainment One creating world-class content with an international appeal.Kelly most recently works as Senior Manager, Production Financing at Lionsgate Canada where she is responsible for maintaining a pulse on industry changes / new financing opportunities by tracking government rules and regulations, policy, compliance, and business administration of production financing and certification processes. She has worked on MOONSHINE created by Sheri Elwood for CBC; THUNDER BAY a four-part Crave Original documentary series based on the groundbreaking podcast from CANADALAND, Thunder Bay; YELLOWJACKETS which has been nominated for seven Emmy Awards for its inaugural season; CARDINAL starring Billy Campbell for CTV and Hulu; RUN, from Vicky Jones and Phoebe Waller-Bridge for HBO; MARY KILLS PEOPLE for Global; RANSOM from executive producer Frank Spotnitz for CBS and Global; BURDEN OF TRUTH starring Kristin Kreuk for CBC.From 2020-2021 she sat on the CMPA’s Skills Development Committee.
