I joined FisherBroyles as its first non-partner attorney in 2022. As the firm prided itself in its “partner only” model, bringing with me nearly a decade of legal experience, I initially came aboard as a law clerk. After a year of working as a dedicated member of the firm and assisting in the growth of its cybersecurity and data privacy team, the firm revisited its "partner only” position and promoted my position to Counsel to accurately reflect my role as an attorney.

As a part of Wilson Elser's National Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Team, we assist clients across all industries with breach response services following cybercrime incidents and data privacy crises. We advise organizations as to their legal rights and responsibilities under state, federal and international privacy laws. As "breach coaches," we further assist in responding to government investigations and third-party claims that arise following a cybersecurity incident. Additionally, I assist insurers in determining coverage following cybersecurity and data privacy incidents.As I worked for Wilson Elser in a paralegal capacity for six years prior to graduating law school, I am able to provide additional support on a variety of civil matters including: reinsurance and coverage matters; labor and employment; products liability; intellectual property; sports law; and general counsel support.

Civil Defense - reinsurance; labor and employment; sports law, intellectual property; products liability; and general counsel support to a large amateur sports association. I have worked at Wilson Elser since 2014 as a paralegal. In 2017 I gained the firm's support in pursing my law degree. While returning to school, I continued to work in a part-time capacity during the school year and full-time over breaks. Duties: Provide support to founding partner and federally appointed mediator, as well as team of ten attorneys on national and international civil matters including insurance/reinsurance, professional liability, employment and labor, construction and product liability, and general liability claims. I serve as lead general counsel paralegal for a national amateur sports organization. I am skilled in the review and interpretation of insurance policies for use in support of coverage opinions. I maintain detailed bordereaux for several Multi-District Litigation and Class Action matters including product liability and athlete concussion claims. I have assisted in professional sports player association grievances. I have assisted in preparation of firm requests for proposals (RFPs), new client acquisitions and other client-generating initiatives. I travel to and assist at client meetings, trials, meditations and arbitrations across the United States. I provided support in a two-week federal intellectual property trial, including maintaining a 560-exhibit trial notebook and assisting in drafting of Bill of Costs upon successful verdict in D. Colo. I also play catcher on firm’s coed recreational softball team.

As a student intern at Equal Justice America’s Disability Rights Clinic at John Jay Legal Services, I assisted clients in lifetime and estate planning, guardianships of the developmentally disabled, special needs trusts and other advocacy needs. The clinic is a non-profit and provides pro-bono legal services to low-income clients.

Bartender for upscale weddings, birthdays and other private events . I held this position in addition to full-time employment as a paralegal.

Civil litigation including insurance defense, plaintiff’s personal injury and subrogation.Conducted all new file intake tasks at a mid-sized insurance defense firm, from conducting conflicts checks to drafting Answers. Performed background checks on all incoming opposing parties. Maintained firm-wide database of all matters. Maintained firm’s court appearance tracking system for all cases from inception to conclusion. Served as alternate calendar clerk for twenty-seven attorneys across three offices.

Bartended nights and weekends while also maintaining a full time law office position. Built a large clientele of regulars while working primarily the "football shifts" of Monday and Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons.Some may ask why I still include some of the prior restaurants I worked at through school on my LinkedIn. Others mention feel obliged to share stories of their years in a corporate restaurant. Regardless, I hold those years fondly and know that anyone who spent more than a few months at a restaurant is likely a reliably hard worker. The various restaurants of corporate America helped transform me into the meticulously detailed oriented, team player, ready for anything (and anyone) worker I am today.

Civil litigation - insurance defense.Interacted daily with clients, insurance adjustors, opposing counsel, experts and private investigators at small personal injury law firm. Assisted in preparation of all litigation documents from intake to trial/appeal or arbitration/mediation including pleadings, discovery demands and responses, summary judgment motions and replies, and arbitration and mediation submissions. Assisted in trial preparation, including notebook construction and drafting of subpoenas. Maintained office calendar with all deadlines and appearances.
