This was fully corrected within 3 years. - There was no working surveillance equipment. When I left, every unit had full camera coverage including networked routers to allow remote viewing for authorized personnel. - Planned and implemented the transition of the 25 officer security staff from unarmed to armed including establishing training and policy manual for law enforcement. - Worked with department heads to create the first ever comprehensive Emergency Action Plan for this 400 bed facility with 1,200 employees.- Performance led to additiinal responsibilities of managing hospital's contracts for services, employment, and leases. I either wrote the contract or had approval over it. - Appointed Superintendent of $20,000,000 in capital improvement projects and new construction.- Very successful in establishing good working relationships with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.

Directed 19 Parks from the Central Office. Each park had a manager that answered to me. Communicated with managers to provide support sufficient for them to be able to accomplish their jobs. Oversight conducted through park audits and evaluations. Additionally responsible for:- Conducted human resource activities as these were generally not within the power of the manager. - Prepared annual budget requests and managed budget of all 27 state parks. - Conducted long range, strategic planning and prepared proposals and justifications for capitiol improvements and new construction for entire division.- Revised the state parks policy and procedure manual and created a new manual for the first law enforcement officer program in State Parks.- Certified NRA Law Enforcement Officer Firearm Instructor. - Drafted numerous Public Notices of Intent. There are currently laws on the books in Mississippi that I authored.
