Responsible for editorial content and design of monthly, quarterly, and weekly in-house publications as well as a variety of special projects including visitor's guides, chamber directories, arts programs, newspapers and books. Publications cover a diverse array of themes including business, military, lifestyle, arts and culture, tourism and law. Duties include oversight for the complete editorial process including planning yearly editorial calendars, assigning features and departments, writing articles and editorials, copy editing, providing feedback and guidance, developing and implementing new publications, overseeing art department, approving all graphic design, leading multiple rebranding efforts, overseeing digital and social media presence, completing staff reviews and managing staff and freelance budgets.Editorial Oversight for Pensacola Magazine, Downtown Crowd, Northwest Florida’s Business Climate Magazine, Coming of Age, Greater Pensacola Chamber Partner Directory, The Summation, Rosemary Thymes and a variety of client programs throughout the year.

Special projects editor for Downtown Crowd and The Healthy Alternative. Developed articles and thematic topics; wrote features, departments and editor’s corner; edited, copyedited, created layout and design, and coordinated with freelancers and clients. Worked with executive editor to produce content for special projects and supervised editorial assistant. Worked with printers to ensure accuracy.

Developed and delivered original lessons based on an integrated curriculum to 125 students in a theme-based learning environment. Prepared objectives, lesson plans, and educational materials. Facilitated service-learning projects and simulations. Other responsibilities included: evaluating assignments and student writing, attending faculty meetings and professional development workshops, participating in parent conferences, and effectively managing classroom discipline. Served as English department chair.
