I started off my career in fine arts which influences my work as a textile designer, stemming from a more abstract and textural perspective. Textile design has allowed me to grow as an artist, giving me the ability to discover and gain confidence in my admiration for weaving, painting and designing. Always being inspired by my surroundings including nature in particular, I appreciate both the extremes of rural and urban life. My work often reflects this organic, natural feel along with my simple need to create and not seek out beautiful qualities, but make art based on my color senses and fine art admiration.
