[City of Minneapolis department of Community Planning and Economic Development]Provided internal support and coordination as way of implementing and effectively communicating enterprise and department goals and results. Designed materials for community events, programs, reports, social media, etc. to clearly and creatively share information. Wrote scripts for the City’s shows on five cultural media platforms (La Raza, WIXK, KMOJ, Soora Media, and Oromia 11). Planned, formatted, and wrote articles for the monthly newsletter, Growing Minneapolis, as a way to engage and inform Minneapolis residents of City resources and upcoming events. Worked with the City’s Step Up youth program to communicate program details to the community, as well as supervise a Step Up summer intern (one of my fav. parts of my job because youth are amazing!).

Jim Hansel is one of America's most collected wildlife artists and is well known for the detail in his paintings. Jim is an artist with a twist; at the age of 12, he was diagnosed with a degenerative eye condition called Stargardts. This does not stop him from pursuing his love for painting. During the Minnesota State Fair I assisted with selling his artwork and sharing his story. This includes: assisting customers by answering questions and filling out orders, as well as connecting with fairgoers who stop by Jim's booth in the Grandstand (having a booth there for 12+ years, there were recurring fairgoers, some even saying they go to the fair just for him and his paintings…and the cheese curds).
