I started out working in the food industry and took off from that to go to college. I eventually got into doing online and catalog sales via telephone and mail as well as dealing with customer service issues. We had to maintain customer databases as well as updating any interaction in the customer notes. We also used intra company communication to take care of any billing issues or to get updates on when items would become available. Part of the job was also interacting with customers through a web chat service and through email. I am quite comfortable multi-tasking and working independently or together with my department or other departments. I am going back to school in the fall for library sciences and hope to learn more about creating and keeping databases.
