After more than 40 years in marketing and advertising -- from my first position as an art director for a large national advertising agency in St. Louis, to forming my own advertising firm in the late 70s, I now have the time to pursue art as an adjunct career. I have a studio in my home and work in watercolor and acrylic, drawing and other mediums. I'm a member of the Missouri Watercolor Society, the Springfield Regional Arts Council, and my artwork is displayed in the Fresh Gallery of Art in Springfield, Missouri. The 40 years of working in the marketing and advertising business have given me a depth of experience and enjoyment that I cannot turn away from. I have worked with companies, institutions, and not-for-profit organizations in dozens of product and service categories. Marketing is a vastly interesting study in human nature and people's motivations – why people do a thing and why they don't. This fascinates me, and that's the fun of it.There have been incredible changes during the past several years in the way the world of commerce works. This means business websites are an absolute need in marketing any business. And, of course, effective websites are based on sound and practical marketing and communication principles. Recently, much of my work has been assisting businesses get and keep customers through the Internet and the web. I've helped many businesses develop effective websites specific to their methods of business for direct online sales, lead generation, traffic generation for businesses and stores, as well as informational needs. And now I do artwork just for art's sake. That's a nearly spiritual thing for me, and I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to expand my life in this way. I welcome anyone to contact me about anything. The world is an interesting place.
