I have served on its Board of Directors for several years, helping build initiatives to assist members to reduce costs, share knowledge and expertise, and provide professional development. I served as the CTO | CIO | Asst. Superintendent of the Santa Clara County Office of Education, supporting school districts and other public agencies for the 265,000+ students of the Silicon Valley. With a unique mix of expertise in both information technology and educational technology leadership, I led three departments providing comprehensive technology services, including network management, systems and database administration, web application development, educational technology (including online and blended learning), digital design and media services (video production, graphic design, print services), application support and more. Our private-cloud initiative, CloudZone, made numerous advances in creating customized, virtual desktops for a broad variety of users. I helped create an exciting data warehouse initiative, and launched a statewide initiative called "ON[the]LINE: The California 21st Century District Initiative," which gathers together great organizations from around the state to create an innovative new approach to technology policies that make sense for organizations today. I've also served in higher education capacities, doing adjunct faculty and curriculum development work with San Diego State University, University of Southern California, and others. My doctorate in Organizational Leadership speaks to my passion about leadership development and support. Great leadership changes everything.
