Current*Taught English 9-12, Journalism, Page to Screen, AP Literature and worked with twelve special education teachers and multiple aides in many inclusion/co-teaching/consultant classes.*Researched, created and developed a course that previously did not exist. *Instituted, coordinated and launched the Senior Project with a team of teachers and administrators for entire school district. *Initiated, wrote and published an 11th grade co-curricular unit about the autobiography of Frederick Douglass with a social studies colleague for the district's teacher professional development center.*Analyzed and addressed building-level issues with the administrative team.*Facilitated the 12th grade teacher professional learning community for two years.*Integrated new teaching methodologies through training sought at two NCTE conferences, a Socratic Seminar workshop and the AP Institutes at St. John Fisher College for the AP Literature and AP Language courses.*Mentored two student teachers, a new English teacher, and a senior undergoing Senior Project.*Organized/customized class speakers and field trips for student enrichment.*Provided opportunities for students to increase success through lessons and assessments showcasing multiple intelligences.
