I served as the main point of contact for our 150 corporate employees and as an additional contact for our fulfillment center employees for all their HR needs. I entirely owned and execute dour onboarding process for new employees, oversaw all benefit and HRIS administration, and partnered with our benefits broker to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws such as the Affordable Care Act, NYS Paid Family Leave, and 5500 plan testing. Additionally I supported all pending visa and PERM cases sponsored by Boxed and oversaw additional perks such as our parental leave policy and wedding bonus.

As the People Coordinator for Spongecell's 80 global employees I served as the main recruiter, executing the full cycle recruitment process while prioritizing candidate experience. I also owned the on-boarding, off-boarding and performance reviews for all employees; working with managers to plan strategic training schedules and conducting internal interviews to gain valuable feedback about our business and culture. Additionally I led all benefit administration and maintained our HRIS (Namely) and was able to assist with the transition to a new benefit provider while acting as a resource for employees.

As an intern I assisted in the implementation and maintenance of the first formal performance reviews and new benefits packages, including creating informational documents, fielding employee questions, and creating statistics to monitor progress. Additionally I planned and executed the cultural events calendar for the company’s 100 employees, hosting a variety of social, wellness, and educational events, as well as maintaining cultural resources such as the company Intranet site and team directory. I was able to gain exposure to applications such as BambooHR, InDesign, Greenhouse and OrgChart. During my time I was given insights into various legal processes such as PERM and other visas, FMLA, disability, and EEO reporting.
