Design Philosophy: Anything is possible! A leader and interdisciplinary design practitioner involving architecture, interior design as well as product and graphic design. Collaborations with the best and brightest talent (ie. Tait Towers, Moment Factory, Fischer Marantz Stone), as well as artists/makers, realize design possibilities and create ectasia. Principal Role: I've lead projects with a budget range of $150M to $250K coupled with square footages ranging from 3,000 s.f. to 1.5M s.f. Experienced in Marketing and Brand messaging, Client Relations and Negotiations, Administrative leadership, Fundraising events (ie. DIFFA, Detroit Boxing Gym, Detroit Public Schools, DesignConnect (Board member). In 2019 I was named a Power Player by the Sports Business Journal.Creative Director role: I love to coach and empower talent at all levels. This has enabled me to lead and manage studios of 80+ interdisciplinary design types from architects, interior designers, graphic designers, and planners. Design PIC Role: Invention as an approach motivates originality and authenticity. I have lead many design project types like the Rocket Mortgage Field House interior spaces, Dominos World Headquarters interior design, 1 Campus Martius building expansion and interior design core and shell, Quicken Loans office spaces at Chase, and 1 Campus Martius, TD Garden's interior bowl design concept for a kinetic scoreboard (documents went through DD), Tele2 Arena in Stockholm Sweden interior design of the premium level, and numerous restaurants in Metro Detroit. I have designed and lead projects in branding, discovery sessions, graphics and wayfinding.Teaching and Critical Practice have been in balance to my professional life with experiences that span over 30 years. Currently, I am teaching interior design as an adjunct at College for Creative Studies in Detroit.
