I've worked full-time in the creative industries in Hobart since 2005. I specialise in graphic design for print – including layout of exhibitions, brochures, flyers, books, posters, postcards, reports, newsletters and signage.I collaborate regularly with local illustrators, photographers, writers, editors, strategists, videographers and digital developers to create quality communications content.My clients are Tasmanian not-for-profits, small private business and local and state government.Extracurricular –I am passionate about arts and community.I led Australia's first 'young friends'​ group at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery for six years. I hosted 60 events, produced 16 editions of an arts magazine and events calendar, and represented the group nationally and internationally.In 2013 I was appointed Design Consultant for TEDxHobart. I also sat on the Glenorchy Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee for many years, helping deliver projects such as Arts Heroes of Glenorchy and Young Writers in Glenorchy.I co-founded the Fullers Bookshop young reading group 'XYZ'​, which was nominated for the 2010 Australian Book Industry Marketing Campaign of the Year awards, and in 2011 I co-produced a book with Ben Walter called 'I Sleep In Haysheds and Corners'. The book combined the work of young Tasmanian craft artists with young Tasmanian writers and won Best New Project by Young People in Tasmania in the Express Media Awards.For several years, in collaboration with the Australian Graphic Design Association, Small Island Studio and Onetonne, I ran a series of free print design professional development workshops called Print Dev 42º, to help build technical skills of local designers. In 2017 and 2019 Bec Adamczewski and I co-curated exhibitions for graphic designers yearning to develop their fine arts practices at the Moonah Arts Centre called Back Burner.I currently help organise Pecha Kucha Hobart, which showcases the passions and talents of a broad range of Tasmanians using a unique presentation format.
