I entered the world of insurance at the age of 16 working in my father’s agency here in Visalia, California, learning the basics of the business. I went on to obtain my agents license at the age of 19 while living in Southern California and worked for a small agency in Los Alamitos from 1980 through 1982. After returning to Visalia in 1982, I took a vacation from the insurance industry, working in Title Insurance and Real Estate. I joined Buckman-Mitchell as the Tulare County Schools Workers’ Compensation Claims Coordinator in November 1995. I have worked with the Tulare County schools for the last 18 years helping them manage their Workers’ Compensation injuries. Recently a number of Kings County schools have been added to my list of clientele.Being born, raised and educated in Visalia, I enjoy very much the relationships I have had the opportunity to create with the good folks at the schools. I consider it an honor to be able to be a part of the education system.I graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in 1979. I have been married for 30 years to my best friend, John Forney, we have three amazing children, two wonderful in-laws, and six of the most beautiful grandchildren to ever grace this earth! In my free time I enjoy taking trips to the coast, going camping with my family, and finding new ways to serve the people God brings into my life.
