I began working with PaneraTech in 2014 as a freelance content strategist. In 2020 I joined the PaneraTech team full time.

As a freelancer I helped small companies and start-ups create an effective, on-brand message. This included research, customer interviews, content strategy and planning, and professional writing. My writing work included web content, blog content, press releases, articles, case studies/customer stories, email marketing, and company newsletters.

While studying full-time for my graduate degree, I worked as an accounts payable specialist for PFG Customized Distribution, managing bill-payment for the dairy category. If you ate something that came from a cow at a restaurant during this time period, there's a good chance I set up the payment to the dairy supplier.

I continued my work in the small business payroll and HR services market with my former competitor. I loved consulting with small business owners to find solutions that made their lives easier.

I was responsible for B2B Sales in the small business payroll and HR Services market. This involved lots of planning, strategy, and the hard work of phone calls, cold calling, and setting face to face appointments. I loved working with small businesses, as I was always working with contacts who had invested their whole lives into their work. The small business market meant that client meetings could be in an office, a coffee shop, a living room, or the tailgate of a pickup truck. I loved this real life, real business world.

I created customized financial plans for clients. Although I worked with individuals, my area of focus was small business owners. I was a three-time winner of the Rookie of the Month award.

I developed new business accounts for an occupational health provider that would later become part of Concentra Health Care. My work included face to face appointments with plant managers, HR Managers, and corporate nurses. I educated companies about the Tennessee Drug-free Workplace program and presented quarterly workplace injury case summaries with clients.
