As a leader in Macy's Food Operations, I have been able to make a real impact across the nation. I have overseen a team of Regional Managers, Market Trainers, and 40 General Managers while ensuring that all 52 brick-and-mortar locations meet company, brand, and food safety standards. I have presented detailed reporting to senior leadership, leading to the identification of $MM in savings and the implementation of modern processes and tools to reduce food waste. Additionally, I have established a succession planning strategy, improving talent retention, affording top-talent consistent promotions, and increasing overall revenue across brick-and-mortar retail locations.When the pandemic began, I was able to identify cost savings and ideate efficiencies, all while navigating ever-changing guidance surrounding Covid-19. I have also had the opportunity to lead the openings of Starbucks, Wolfgang Puck, and Macy's Café locations, traveling nationally to oversee onboarding and training efforts and identifying critical business and consumer needs and gaps.

In this role, I was responsible for the successful launch of 20+ new store openings across Macy's portfolio. My role included evaluating store leadership and providing ongoing coaching to direct reports, as well as collaborating with internal and external teams and managing change initiatives. I was selected to serve as the Brand Experience Lead, which involved traveling across the country to ensure that all Macy's food locations had a full understanding of the Starbucks training curriculum. My efforts paid off as I was able to reduce food and labor costs by 15% and increase overall profits by 14%. Impressed with my results, Senior Leadership entrusted me with overseeing an additional three portfolio locations. Throughout my career, I have sought to hire and mentor emerging leaders, and have set stretch sales goals to drive accountability and foster professional development. Through my commitment to fostering growth opportunities, I have seen several of my direct reports promoted to Trainer and Area Director roles. Furthermore, I have demonstrated Inclusive Leadership behaviors by engaging in dialogue around DE&I, creating a culture of belonging, and holding teams accountable. Directed a leadership team of 15 Showroom Managers while overseeing retail operations (revenue management, direct sales, and adherence to brand standards). Devised and implemented promotional campaigns to drive sales growth, brand awareness, and engagement. Increased GP by 15% and key indicator percentages by 40% by implementing sales strategies focused on relationship building.

Nominated to take part in the Management Coach Mentor and Certified Classroom Facilitator programs in recognition of strong financial leadership performance (increased store sales 34% and ranked in the top 10 for controllable contribution).

Roosevelt Field Mall, Walt Whitman Mall, Sunrise Mall

Negotiated leases, designed kiosks, hired and trained a team of 90, and created a wholesale cookie operation that supplied 10,000 fresh-baked cookies/brownies to internet companies. Developed relationships with high-end specialty bakeries and negotiated temporary leases in shopping malls during the holidays. Successfully negotiated the sale of all three businesses in 2003.
