Led the development and implementation of a comprehensive value-based contracting strategy to drive the transition from fee-for-service to value-based reimbursement models. Collaboratively worked with key executives in the areas of care management, operations, finance and information technology to achieve performance optimization. Worked with key payer executives to ensure vision and goal alignment. Helped build and grow an ACO/CIN that managed ~300,000 lives participating in Medicare ACO, Medicare Advantage, and Commercial insurance plans. This spanned multiple geographies with over 600 primary care physicians.

STRATEGY: Responsible for strategy, local execution and maintenance of all corporate payment innovation programs. Served as point person for primary care, multi-specialty and Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) to shift to value-based contracting and transition to a patient-centered medical home approach to care. Train staff on program elements and ensure continuous process improvement. RECRUITMENT: Recruited physician practices into program. Held quarterly Physician Advisory Councils to educate and gain critical feedback regarding program improvements.DATA ANALYSIS: Performed financial and data analysis for physicians, employer groups, and Anthem to ensure creation of savings and improvement with return on investment. Oversaw reporting and metrics and worked with internal team members (Actuaries, Medical Directors, Case Managers and a transformation team) to track key deliverables.

Negotiated facility agreements with systems, rural and specialty hospitals as well as independent/group physician agreements and Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Managed operational issues and ensured contract negotiations came in, at, or under budget.

Sysco is the global leader in selling, marketing and distributing food equipment and supplies.Achieved Colorado sales woman of the week for selling more than $30K in beef during a one time sales visit. Successfully maintained sales results of top sales associate in region while she was out on maternity leave. Redesigned a food menu in collaboration with a 4 restaurant corporation that better identified high profit products and brought food pricing in line to obtain a 3% profit margin.

A healthcare management revenue cycle consulting company. Analyzed payment compliance in managed care agreements resulting in additional revenue of $100,000 to a 3 hospital system.

Negotiated fee for service and capitated contracts for indemnity, PPO, HMO and Medicare Risk products. Responsible for cost of care reduction projects and increased efficiency within the department.

Oversaw the successful implementation and account management for more than 2,000 physician contracts in Colorado. Negotiated, implemented and serviced a 300,000 member statewide capitated home health care agreement.
