Smart Growth America and the Washington State Department of Transportation founded a new artist-in-residence program—the first of its kind in the country to be housed within a state agency—to bring a creative approach to advancing the agency’s goals, including improving safety, reducing congestion, promoting economic vitality, supporting multimodal transportation systems, and creating healthier communities.

Selected projects include: working with the Ford Motor Company to develop new innovative ways to engage with cities and towns across the nation, and working with Curative on a prototype and deployment strategy for a human centered approach to Covid-19 testing.

Green River, Utah

Epicenter is a housing and building resource center dedicated to providing decent shelter to the residents of Green River. Worked as the lead designer and constructor for the renovation 104-year old dilapidated building on the formally historic downtown Broadway Street in Green River, Utah into office space for Epicenter. Designed, permitted, set up utilities, worked with all contractors, and built the project.

Research & Development program to fill gaps in the non-profit sector and develop new poverty-fightingideas. Known as T Lab, the team exists to research, prototype and test new social services.Leveraged design thinking and lean startup methodologies for need-finding, brainstorming, prototyping and piloting of new solutions for young adults re-entering their communities after incarceration.
