I had the honor and privilege of leading Marines. As a Combat Engineer Officer, lead a Utilities Platoon in Desert Shield / Storm. We provided electrical power distribution, hygiene and water purification services. After returning to my Hawaii duty station, took over an Engineer Support Company. The unit comprised of over 150 Marines in 8 different specialties. We saved the base over 2 million dollars in project management costs in 1992.The second assignment was in Albany, GA as an Environmental Officer. Performed environmental assessments, inspections, hazardous material training to base personnel, and initiated compliance procedures for SARA Title III regulations for the base.
