Key role is to undertake promotional and marketing activities for the Maritime Services team by utilising a range of marketing and promotional tools to influence positive safe boating behaviours and awareness of the Navigation Safety Bylaw. This involves setting and implementing an annual marketing strategy, engaging with key stakeholders and special interest groups and analysing market and strategic research. Additionally responsible for the management and ongoing development of a smartphone app and associated marketing and promotional activity, including building a strong digital presence.

Led the marketing development and implementation of Category Strategy campaigns and promotions, working in close partnership with creative and media agencies and in-house creative teams. Responsible for providing strategic direction and marketing support across brand campaign and house brand activities, including leading a brand refresh and packaging update. Additional responsibilities included managing the editorial and advertising content for a monthly publication, content planning and copy writing across digital platforms including eDMs, social media and adwords, and financial support and tracking across the wider team.

This was a newly created role as a result of the new Marketing Fit to Win process to provide artwork support to the Global Dove Deo brand team. I was responsible for helping to set the global networks and ensure projects are delivered OTIF, as well as coordinating the design to artwork process and cascade of the Global Artwork Toolbox to regional teams.

Initially a fixed term project working on a leading UK retailer account, managing the packaging design and artwork production process for own brand products. My position within the company was then extended to an onsite function at a large UK FMCG company. Here I was responsible for setting critical paths and providing client support for artwork development and the European roll out of a new design re-launch.

Primary responsibility is managing the standard artwork process, making changes to existing artwork for brand re-launches or working on artwork for new innovations. This involves working as part of a cross-functional team, co-ordinating and seeking information from internal departments including brand development, RDC and supply chain; and additionally liaising with design and print management agencies and acting as brand visual guardian to ensure brand guidelines are consistent.

Varied role based around providing analytical and administrative support to the marketing and sales team to aid in successful execution of category plans. Additionally, maintained and updated website and social media content and assisted with advertising and sales promotions.

This was a varied entry level role supporting the Marketing Manager for Consumer Products, providing analytical and administrative support to the national sales team and acting as first point of contact for consumers. After nine months I moved within the company to the Ingredients division providing support for the Category Manager, expanding my knowledge and understanding of the company and its products.
