I was appointed to oversee Finance Operations function and supervise 11 staff and 3 team leads: Policy Finance (5 staff), Non-Policy (4 staff), Finance Excellence (2 staff).I was responsible to ensure timely collections of incoming funds and payments as well as to build an intermediary dashboard to facilitate efficient account management.My responsibilities included to set up a specific function within Finance to rationalise manual processes and apply Robotics Programming Automation (RPA - Blue Prism) to all Finance Operations processes (receipting in PolisySEA system including the production of journals, payment checking, email receipts to intermediaries etc.).In my time here, we successfully expanded collection alternatives from 4 to 8 methods by forming partnerships with payment gateway and banks.In this role, I successfully introduced "customer's voice" into the Finance team mindset to improve collaboration within the team and across the company and improved the month-end closing time by 30% with the implementation of RPA.In addition, we developed "Click and Pay" web-based portal to enable intermediaries processing premiums 24/7, in cooperation with Oracle vendor, accounting system hosting site in Malaysia and in-house IT developers.
