About Kelly K. Hallman

I am an enrolled tribal citizen of the Cherokee Nation, originally from Oklahoma by way of Arizona, a rancher's granddaughter & union welder's daughter. My experience over the last 25 years is with Indigenous communities throughout the Global South and in North America. My work focuses on (a) how history informs where we are today, (b) revitalizing Indigenous health, economic, cultural and social systems, (c) strengthening Indigenous sovereignty and self-determination, (d) preventing and responding to human trafficking and gender-based violence. I have an MA & PhD in health economics, but more importantly, I respect and transmit knowledge from my elders and ancestors for the benefit of future generations.
