Technical lead for population-wide reproductive health programs, including a $2+ mil. population census covering over 180,000 household in 6 districts of Zambia. Managed and facilitated in-country training and supervision of 68 field teams, comprising 340 interviewers, field supervisors, and data quality controllers. Independently conducted formative research on maternal and child health in Tanzania and authored technical guidance on the indirect estimation of maternal mortality to inform the project’s research design, field methodology, and interpretation of findings.

Primary Responsibilities:1) Demography & Epidemiology: Technical Consultation- Conducted unique longitudinal analysis of pricing and drug-specific access by individual plan and within-plan changes- Strategically designed a rare disease patient survey and methodology to quantify degree of and barriers to patient access in the context of provider, insurer, and individual characteristics- Authored several policy briefs and research reports to synthesize and analyze relevant public policy in both the U.S. and international markets, including report on parallel trading and counterfeit medications2) Demography & Epidemiology: Data Management- Developed a database of Medicaid Costs by State and Year and Plan for each Shire and cross-market drugs, and created and managed a comprehensive list of Medicare Part D plans by State and Year- Initiation and creation of a rare disease database reconciling alternate classifications and established unique identifiers to cross-reference disease phenotype, population statistics, and available treatment- Created list of Compassionate Allowance eligibility to assess classification stability relevant to both patients and providers3) Program Management- Produced and managed ongoing internal reports on key events, including weekly trade organization meetings, public sector committee hearings, and private sector symposiums- Managed external stakeholders’ database, utilized by all personnel in the division to monitor and evaluate engagement with interest groups and policymakers

Primary responsibilities:1) Demography & Epidemiology: Technical Consultation- Established skill in public health surveillance of adult morbidity and mortality as Co-Investigator of Center of Excellence NIH funded CARRS (Center for cArdiometabolic Risk Reduction in South Asia) Surveillance project, specific management of Social Networks sub-study- Provided technical consultation related to human subjects research requirements, ethical standards, and research protection through the interpretation and application of existing guidance and policy- Prepared scientific manuscripts and technical reports for publication, in addition to oral presentations at international and national meetings- Presented findings to CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden and visiting policymakers at NHLBI Appropriation Committee Briefing hosted by the Public Health Foundation of India2) Program Management- Supervised 9 interviewers and 3 data managers, ensured efficiency and budget adherence- Developed social networks survey instrument, procured funding grants and international ethical review board clearance, managed on-site data collection, data management and analysis, and communication of findings to stakeholders- Negotiated and participated in cooperative studies with internal and external health related organizations to coordinate resources, disseminate results, and enhance capacity building
