Moving into a senior delivery position on the team has seen me take on a more strategic role.Working closely with the other team leads, I evolve and adapt the team's strategic direction which I then translate into an ambitious but achievable roadmap. I support the iteration of the product's business model and economic case to demonstrate return on investment. I'm also responsible for setting and monitoring the team's budget.I lead on iterating the team's ways of working, often experimenting with new methodologies that fit the current team make up and priorities, but still ensuring agile principles are honoured. I coach the team to invest in reflection as I'm a firm believer that it drives greater performance.I work closely with senior leaders in the organisation to align the team to wider GDS principles and vision, as well as manage and mitigate risks and issues that arise. I report on the team's work , as well promote their achievements externally in the wider community. I determine the best make up for the team, driving recruitment campaigns to secure new talent. I see it as my role to ensure team members work in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment.
