I am a Bachelor’s prepared Registered Nurse with 13 years of experience. My background is in critical care, and I have worked in the hospital setting my entire career. I know the inner workings of a hospital and am an expert in standards of care. Throughout my career, I have precepted new RN’s which entailed teaching the standards of care, complex medical and nursing issues, and identifying and referencing the necessary policies and procedures. I did travel nursing all over the country which has made me proficient in many different electronic medical record systems. I also worked in a position in which I would go into hospitals throughout the region and research the medical record for pertinent information. This experience gives me the ability to research medical records quickly and efficiently for relevant information. As a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, I can assist attorneys with medical-related cases by using my thirteen years of nursing experience and certification from the Vickie Milazzo Institute. Services include but are not limited to organizing and analyzing medical records, screening cases for merit, educating attorneys on medical issues in the case, identifying and locating expert testifying witnesses, developing reports and chronologies to highlight the significant medical events and how they fit into the overall case analysis.
