Well, the good news is that it doesn't matter if it's a federal acquisition, an 18-month buying cycle for advanced engineering services, an elective procedure, an annual charity investment decision, or an impulse tube of lipstick. People will tell you. Employees will tell you. The market will tell you. Heck, even your P&L sheet will tell you. The question becomes how closely do you listen and how effectively do you apply the feedback? I like a challenge. I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to look, listen and learn, then plan, execute, measure and optimize. I also love developing people.
