Growing up, art was always something I enjoyed observing and creating. During my first semester in college, that passion only grew when I discovered the subject of art history, an area of study that opened up a new world of learning to me that proved there was so much more to art than I had ever known. I eagerly spent the next several years studying, researching, and experiencing whatever art I could. During this time, I presented my senior thesis and honors project in art history on the French and American Impressionists before going on to study abroad and produce a master's thesis on the subjectivity and objectivity of Edgar Degas' landscapes. Over the course of my advanced studies, I carried out intensive research under limited time constraints to simultaneously organize sample museum exhibition proposals and present information both orally and in writing on topics regarding nineteenth-century European art and gender. My passion for art history has made me inquisitive not only about artwork, but about people and cultures from around the world, and the more I continue to grow and learn, the more I desire to share my interests and findings with others. It is for this reason I seek to work in a creative and engaging environment that focuses equally on the study of artwork and the promotion of it and its importance to the past, present, and future. With my strong desire to learn, interest in and knowledge of art history, and work experience in customer service, it is my desire to help bring art to the world and allow others to experience it as I do.
