Reporting to the Global Head of External Communications in London, I was responsible for developing strategic communications plans to showcase the firm’s leaders and initiatives. I also advised on and executed global communications campaigns in Australia in collaboration with colleagues in Asia, EMEA, the UK and the US.I led three communications professionals across two states, and worked closely with the C-Suite, the Australian Managing Partner, Global and Regional Heads; Partners and Business Development leaders on proactive and reactive communications to manage reputational risk and drive successful media outcomes aligned to the firm’s business strategy.

Acting as 2nd-in-charge for the Head of External Communications, Australia, I was responsible for developing and executing strategic, proactive communications plans for the firm’s corporate law practice, the firm’s Digital Law Group, and various industry sectors including energy and infrastructure. I also advised on significant risk management issues and crafted proactive and reactive communications to amplify the firm’s successes and its strategic objectives.

I was responsible for developing and executing strategic internal communication plans for significant employee engagement and change management programs in four states. This included: drafting internal comms materials including employee announcements, newsletters, FAQs, fact sheets and project updates; assisting in the coordination of simultaneous nationwide staff events; and presenting to employees.I developed and implemented multiple employee change communications projects concerning office relocations in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

Reporting to the Head of Internal Comms, I was responsible for creating internal communication plans and materials to support the organisation’s strategic business plan and objectives, while enhancing employee culture and experience. I also provided guidance on communications approach and tactics in relation to community stakeholder engagement.I was Project Lead for the creation of the company’s Annual Report, which involved managing an external writer; editing the report; working with senior leaders from HR and Finance to secure content approval; and liaising with designers.I also drafted and implemented impactful internal communication plans for a range of projects including the construction of a new cruise passenger terminal, and the launch of the Corporation’s 30-Year Strategy.

I worked in the B2B technology group and my clients included Oracle, Orange, SAS, British Airways World Cargo, NG Bailey, ExtraSys and Accuity.
