CurrentHelivac Medical Services (Pty) Ltd is a medical emergency call centre that was started by my husband in 2008. I joined the business in 2009 as a Director responsible for marketing. The business slowly grew over time and we recruited a team of staff as the work load increased. My role included the full start up functions of the business and I did whatever was required to grow the business. I am required to research the market and identify opportunities for the business. In response to these opportunities, I devise and implement a marketing plan for the company’s services. Furthermore, I identify and develop new products and enhance existing products, ensuring that they are appealing to the current market requirements.It is my duty to conceptualise marketing and advertising initiatives to achieve company sales targets within the relevant consumer segments. I am responsible for coordinating the promotion of the business. This involves advertising and marketing campaign development and management.My portfolio includes the setting and management of the marketing budget. Areas of accountability include continuous market and consumer trend research and statistical data evaluation, adjusting and updating the marketing plan if, and when necessary.I support the overall growth of the business through marketing initiatives, advising the company’s key stakeholders on marketing elements, ideas, concepts, and campaigns. My portfolio includes all artwork and design management, scripting and media liaison, and distribution channel selection.
