As head of contracts, I am responsible for clinical contracts and outsourcing. My primary goals are to align the strategic sourcing activities around the corporate goals and assure not only strict adherence to our contractual obligations, but alignment with our strategy.

As the Senior Contracts Manager for Kabam, I worked with both the US and X-US sites on their contracts, including but not limited to; NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, I/Os, IT Agreements and other agreements based upon the business needs and in all business sectors, (Finance, IT, Marketing, HR, etc.). I was a partner in the negotiations involving the implementation of the German Works Council and Data Transfer Agreements.As part of the Patent Committee, I was able to facilitate the review and approval of multiple patents while maintaining legal spend around this matter.As a primary responsibility, I partnered in real estate activities, specifically with new leases, renewals and transfers after M&As.In managing the internal budget for legal spend, I was able to realize significant cost savings as a result of negotiations and the use of AFAs.In addition, I have been heavily involved in legal process implementation and providing learning for internal clients on how to work with Legal, the expectations around the services and how we could partner together.

As Contracts Manager for Bachem Americas, I had multiple responsibilities involving the full life-cycle management of contracts for the US and Americas. Responsibilities included but were not limited to; drafting, reviewing and negotiating Supply Agreements, Service Agreements, Collaboration Agreements and various other agreement as needed for the business. In addition, I provided research documentation, (patents around peptides) and reports on contracts with extensive partnering with colleagues in the Switzerland office.

This role has extensive front-line interaction with clients and handles, with attorney supervision, the negotiation, drafting and management of a high-volume of specialized agreements necessary for the day-to-day operations of cutting edge life sciences companies and research institutions. The agreements I work on include; clinical trial, confidentiality, consulting, evaluation, material transfer, research collaboration and services agreements. In addition, this role assists our clients in developing improved efficiencies in their internal contract administration processes.

Worked with the Clinical Contracts and Finance, (“CCF”), Department to provide internal clients with Phase I clinical contracts, outsourcing contracts and financial analysis. Developed budgets using standard pharmaceutical industry tools for studies, (Grant Plan), and managed study negotiations for US and Ex-US study contracts, (UK, AUS, NZ and Canada).

With Accenture, I work with clients in the Health and Public Services Group managing the entire lifecycle of commercial contracts for service providers.I was responsible for implementing processes to broaden communication/awareness related to contract specifics as well as identifying and mitigating contractual and business risks. Specifically, I identified and presented information regarding the SLAs, potential SLCs and expected metrics for our clients.In addition, I worked across multiple groups for implementation of the delivery of services related to new servers, IT requests and other services needed.

This position is in the US Site Contracts (USSC) Group in Strategic Outsourcing, (SO). Prepare, draft and negotiate Study Agreements and Vendor Agreements. Assist on such items as Sponsored research agreements, and various other agreements to meet the scientific and business needs in the USSC and SO Organizations. This position also works closely with the legal departments during the negotiation, review and implementation of the agreements, to ensure Genentechs business and legal needs are met.
