Kelly Whitley serves as Vice President, Investor Relations and Communications, for Murphy Oil Corporation (NYSE:MUR), an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company. She is responsible for all aspects of investor relations and communications, including financial, crisis, digital and social communications, as well as public, media and community relations. In conjunction with her executive duties, she is a member of the Executive Leadership Team; Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Executive Committee; and the Disclosure Committee. Since joining Murphy in 2015, Kelly has been a strategic leader in the company’s messaging strategy and brand management. She was instrumental in redefining and launching the company’s mission, vision, values and behaviors campaign, along with being the executive sponsor for the employee ambassador program, established to shift and enrich the corporate culture, enforce constructive behaviors and enhance employee engagement. She is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and the Senior IR Roundtable, which advances engagement in the capital markets and drives best practices in corporate disclosures, governance and informed investing. Kelly also serves on the American Petroleum Institute (API) Communications Committee and is a member of the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce and the Women’s Energy Network (WEN).Kelly also remains actively involved in her community through various organizations. Previously, she served on the Steering Committee for the United Way of Greater Houston Women’s Initiative, developing programs for philanthropy and fellowship; and is a member of the Executive Women's Partnership (EWP), a subgroup of the Greater Houston Partnership that supports personal and professional development of female senior executives across multiple industries in Houston; and the National Charity League (NCL), a multi-generational philanthropic organization of mothers and daughters actively supporting efforts to promote human welfare.
