Kelly Smith's focus is with global executive talent across the Danaher portfolio of companies. Her career experience has spanned from marketing and sales, entrepreneurship, and executive search. Presently, she is focused on executive recruiting for senior-level talent across the twenty-five plus major operating companies of Danaher globally.Kelly was previously with two major search firms -Spencer Stuart and Heidrick and Struggles, where she completed executive placements for organizations ranging from emerging start-ups to public corporations. Kelly has focused exclusively on senior management roles including CEO, CHRO, CSO, CMO, SVP R&D, SVP, Regulatory Affairs, CBO, CFO, General Counsel, BOD and functional reports. She has executed over 400+ C-level search assignments in public, private, venture-backed companies and academic institutions. Prior to executive search, she initiated her career in sales and marketing with Duracell Batteries Inc., (Dart-Kraft consumer-products). Kelly then became co-founder, vice president of marketing and sales, and secretary of board for start-up Datafax Information Services, Inc. Datafax grew in the data information sector providing consultative reports to the financial services segment. Her role held responsibility for marketing, sales and business development. Datafax rapidly expanded across the West and, as the industry leader, the company successfully sold to TransUnion/UCB Services.Kelly is a corporate partnership council member of Society of Women Engineers (SWE) a Corporate and active member of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA), Women in Manufacturing (WIM) and Women In Bio. She was previously the campaign fund co-chair and an advisory board member on the Parent and Family Council with Gonzaga University. Kelly is a past member of BIO, The Parenterals Drug Association (PDA), RAPS, and other executive affiliations in healthcare. She attended St. Mary’s College, Moraga and California State University, Hayward and has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Marketing.
